Location: Chehalis, Washington | Since Jim's officially expecting his baby Adamas, I figured it's time for announcements;
First and foremost, Amy and I are expecting our third (and possibly final) baby next June. We're hoping (REALLY HOPING) for a boy this time, since we already have two beautiful healthy girls and a boy would round things out nicely.
Knowing God's sense of humor, I'm cursed to only have girls forever...
Second, my custom 12-string has FINALLY shipped from the factory, after a 5-month stay with the fine folks at Ovation. Hard to say which one I'm more excited about. ;)
Last, and this seems ridiculous to me now, I am also soon to be expecting my first deep-bowl texture top Adamas, courtesy of our own Fugot.
I hear the Martina McBride song "I Have Been Blessed" playing in the background... |

Location: South of most, North of few | Andrew, CONGRATS!!! I have a friend that has FIVE girls and no boys. (we call him girlie man) Can you imagine what it's like at his house on "that time of the month"? ouch! And... so you're the one that ended up with Mike's Adamas. I was trying to pry it away from him, but I guess he committed to you first. (touche') Enjoy....You have been blessed! :D |

Location: Vermont USA | Great news Andrew guitars and babies popping out all over the place. The one thing I know for sure is the children grow up fast so enjoy every moment. also after their gone its just you and the lady so stay connected. And the best news is you will still have some fine guitars too play.

Location: ms | Be careful what you wish for.After two girls(a 14year old and 24 year old).I now have a 18 month old son, now this little guy is sweet and loves mom and dad, but!! He is into everything, i never had to put a guitar in a case with my girls, he loves to try to play them but he also loves to drag them around. He was using one for drums so i went to walmart and got him a set of drums. He now owns two guitars, a walmart plastic and a yard sale mother of plastic. But when i break out one of mine he comes running. I really hope he keeps it up. My girls love music and my 14 year old sings with me live sometimes but they never took to guitar playing or guitar players. My oldest did date a drummer once. BTW, my oldest is expecting and found out last week " ITS A BOY " |

The old saying that boys (men) are "physical" and girls (women) are emotional certainly seems to be true in my case.
Raising girls certainly tested my emotional state, and raising boys tested the limits of my insurance coverage.
Congrat's and God's Blessing on you. |

Jim, I didn't think this was still for sale, but I noticed no one had posted on it and shot Mike a message...things just work out sometimes.
Even better, Amy didn't flip out when I told her...she's either getting used to my obsession or just is biding her time. Either way, I'm probably in trouble... |

I can remember when I felt bad for you with only one Ovation. What happened?? Did you run into some bad influences? :D |

We're pretty much done raising our 2 girls. I had an older sister and 3 younger brothers. Going from that to being around a bunch of screaming, emotional girls was something different. Try to keep playing. I gave it up for too many years. Interesting that neither daughter was interested in guitar (except when daughter number 2 dropped the Matrix and broke the rosette, causing me to start keeping it in the case) until they went to college. Now both play. |

Not cursed, I hope. I really wanted a boy after the first girl. One of each, you know. Then got another girl, c'est la vie. I couldn't be happier. At all those family gatherings when my brothers' boys would be running around punching and yelling and screaming and kicking, my wife and I would look at each other with relief in our eyes. |

Location: GATLINBURG TENNESSEE :) | Congratulations Andrew, on all the many blessings coming your way. Hey, I had a boy and three girls, in that order with the last two being twins (all in less than 3 years) (yes, my wife is a saint). They're all grown now and either in the military or married to active duty military. My only regret in life is not spending more time on the floor playing with them all. Now I have three grand daughters, so I'm trying to make up for lost time.
Let us know how you like the single-side cutaway sound, okay? |
