So, after much debate and looking at every option under the sun, I opted to pass a guitar that I already have my dad's way for his birthday/Christmas this year.

What do you think...appropriate gift, even though it's used?

I wasn't going to ever part with this one, but thanks to fugot, I have a deep-bowl version coming to replace it with, and that makes 2 Adamai for me and none for my dad, which just isn't cool at this point in life. ;) So, one has to go...

Bummer is, I REALLY like the shallow bowls, and with selling my 1869, I have NONE left! What am I to do?

Well...if my son gave me one of those as a gift I'd think I died and went to Heaven.

For my birthday, my son gave me a remote fart machine. I'd say your Dad has a wonderful son.

Andrew, I've said it before....(how do I get on the gift list?) Seriously, that is a great gift I'm sure even a non guitar player would appreciate! Besides, you do need to parr down that list :D

You should also include a free membership to the OFC!

Then when he ends up with 12 more guitars...

Good choice. Offer him a trade up/in option too.

Membership wasn't already free? ...oops.

That actually goes without saying, like Tuppy's serial registration.
