Location: Atlanta,Ga. | Im not sure if anyone else has posted anything here about this.I wonder how this will effect the price of the adamas series guitars? CA guitars has already raised their guitar prices to around $3000.00 recently. They are now right up there with rainsong.

Location: Marlton, NJ | I've looked deeply into this as it directly affects a project that I'm working on. It'll be interesting to see if they start to utilize some of the alternatives - fiberglass or hybrid materials. I'm not sure how much of the use of the CF is structural on the Adamii guitars or just because it looks good.
We'll see what the future brings... everyone grab an Adamas while we can still get them. |

Eventually, there will be an alternative developed because the price is going up, or, the demand will slacken due to various factors, like the war ending. I'm not worried, though I have to admit I never really thought about a change due to the rimshot of the war on adamas materials, but it makes sense given what they're made out of.

Location: Wooster, Ohio | I emailed CA on another issue and mentioned the shortage of Carbon Fiber and they said not to worry they have plenty. Don't know if that was BS or not. There were complaints on another website on the CA price hikes. Their most expenseve model is now the X which was hiked $200 retail last week. They could just be taking advantage of demand, they just are getting it back into production. I have had my used X for a couple weeks now and have adjusted the action to were I like it. It is so sweet, a OM compact size guitar that weights nothing with this wonderful even sound acoustically and electrically. I can't keep my hands off it.

Isn't it true that in Converse they think that "Carbon Fibre" is that black thing that runs down the center of a pencil?? |

Location: CT | I don't think it will drive the price up. Look at the numbers: Each Airbus A380 uses 70,000 metric TONS of carbon fiber. How many Adamii could be built with that? |
