Aside from hanging here for a good part of the day, what other forums do youse guys visit?
I'm on the Acoustic guitar one and Resonation and Big Road Blues with a little regularity.

None. I don't have enough time even to lurk on this one as much as I would like.

Gospel Guitar Guy and I have posted at Equip Yourself , a Christian music site. Nice group of guys and helpful, but very little action over there.

OFC is home base. I come here before checking my email.

It's more of a blog than a message board, but Stereogum is a great music blog (focuses mostly on modern/indie rock).

I visit Acoustic Guitar, Hamer Museum, LowdenCult and some artist boards infrequently and some other blogs, but this is really the only discussion board I check and post to regularly.

I addition to this forum and the one the Captain mentioned, I have been known to post on the "Acoustic Guitar Forum".

This is the main forum I regularly read and post on.

I mean where else could I learn about "Nose Hair AND "Hemorrhoids"? :D

I go on the AcousticGuitar one sporadically myself, but those guys are SERIOUS GuitarHomo's and tend t'take themselves a little too seriously . . .

I used to visit an acoustic guitar board, but found the posts quite sterile, and boring. This place is where its at, beyond just Ovation, but musically, and "serious discussion"

I have visited and posted on the Martin board and Guitarnoise. It's rare that go there anymore.
I lurk at the WHO message board but I don't post much.
Nobody else accepts and understands my little quirks like the folks here.

And another thing... I never get the sense of community that we have here. Factory tours... straps.. calendars.. the wooden roundback tour.. trinket exchange... the Members Night Out CD.. the tour DVD... Phil Wong.. and the list goes on.
Let's give ourselves a pat on the the back for finding the formula to maintain and grow our common interest in Ovation guitars.

This is it for me. I used to be a regular on and off over the years (if that doesn't qualify as an oxymoron) on the Hamer Fan Club board, but it's a matter of time. This is it. (In addition to my full time work, my academic load is tough. I have to read approx. 3000 pages of professional reading per course AND write plenty concerning what I have read. Oops... where does the time go...)

Besides the OFC, the only other ones I post to are the UMGF (Martin Guitar Forum), Glen Campbell's fan forum and once in a great while, the Acoustic Guitar forum. This one tends to be home base, though. I haven't posted much lately because of my current health issues, but I still drop by and lurk everyday.

I don't hit other boards for the same reason I don't watch new shows each year on tv..... namely that I spend enough time on this board (or the tv shows that I do watch) and don't want to take up more computer/tv time than I already do.....

One at a time for me. Before this it was BMW board and before that I was a regular on Porsche Pete's Boxster Board. Believe it or not, this board has fewer jerks. I still have a few friends from the Boxster board that I run into every year.

Acoustic Guitar and the gear page are the only two that I cheat on you guys with, although with much less regularity. Or is that much more irregularity?

This is my main pop up, along with Ebay.

I will drop in on:

The Unofficial Tacoma Fan Club
Project Guitar Forum
Seymour Duncan Forum
The Official Breadwinner site ((crickets))!

I wouldn't use a Chat feature. I like to pace and tone of this site.

The jerks on the Boxster board weren't generally the Porsche guys. They were typically trolls or had just bought a Boxster for way too much money and did a bunch of mods to it and then wanted to know how much it was worth. There was a regular group that shared useful information. Lots of similarities to this board, now that I think about it.

I would agreee that this is the most cooperative and communial board and the main one I go to. I just started checking out the others mostly for the resonators. There are a binch of others but after the OFC and the two I mentioned I hardly ever go to the others. The acoustic guys do take themselves quite seriously, but hey, somebody's got to.

Well the primary boards I visit each day and actually post on are besides here are the motorcycle brand boards of:

Victory Motorcycle Club

Wild Guzzi

V11 LeMans

Although I have visited at one time or another most of the guitar and motorcycle boards out there, the only other guitar forum I frequent is The Shredder Forum from MCS Guitars

I used to frequent the porsche boards, but eventually got fed up with all of the trolls ... usually young studs who would logon and question the manhood Porsche owners who wouldn't come out and race them once they got their nitrous and neon installed.

I am a member at acoustic guitar, UMGF, Hamer Museum, and Ibanez. I also spend some time on the Thing forum at samba, as well as a few forums I frequent for business purposes. But I am not habitual on any of them ... for whatever reason I misfit in here better than most other places.

Being a single dad of three kids, I don't have much time to spend on too many message boards. I spend the most time right here, and at the TDPRI - which the "Telecaster Discussion Page Re-Issue" board. Great guys over there, and some semi-famous ones drop by from time to time. Unfortunately just the very utterance of the word "Ovation" can get you into trouble. I overlook it.

There's also Bluestalk.com to scratch my blues itch, but I don't get by there too much anymore.

One of the guys from the TDPRI has started an excellent guitar praise and worship forum. I don't get by there too much anymore either, but so far it's been about the best Christian based guitar forum that I've seen yet.

I don't have much free time during the day, what with work and all, but I tend to just sort of, uh, glance at:

Slashdot
Digg
Hamer Museum
Guitars by Leo Discussion Page
Canon forum @ dpreview.com
ASR on Usenet via Google Groups (sigh, remember Usenet?)
TGP
HFC

There are more, I just can't recall all of them offhand.

Besides this board the only other one that stacks up with a good bunch of fanatics is the Sigforum. Gun nuts can be as interesting and eclectic as guitar nuts.
