Location: Scotland | Cliff's right, that guitar is a Zemaitis. And it should be Maton rather than "Maston"
My old partner Bob Purvis was given a Harptone 12 string by Harrison when Splinter were signed to Dark Horse. Bob sold it in the early 80's through Christies for a couple or 3 grand. It came up for auction again a couple of years ago with an estimate of £90K. He's surprisingly philosophical about it. Even though he had the Harptone, Bob chose to tour with a Glen Campbell 12 string. |

Location: Atlanta, GA. | The "journalist" missed on several points. The auction was also posted on ebay and it sold for less than he reported. The Maton was a "loaner" while George's Gretsch was being repaired.
