Ok...did i pass a good deal???
I was in GC today and they were hand delivered by the Ovation sales rep... a black 1778 T5 elite...

The salesperson offered it to me for 600.00 with the case.

I know it lists for around 1200.00...but do you think is something to jump on??? a gem of sorts???

It had a great sound and a great feel.

And a great deal! I love my T. Fine, fine guitar for the money ... forget "for the money" - fine guitar, period.

I'd call him and ask him to save it for you.
I am a man of meager means, but I could find $600 for that.

(I already paid rent this month, just don't eat so much.)

I love my black 1778. I paid around $750 with case and was happy with that deal. Go for it...

My gigging partner plays an Elite T. It sounds incredible both acoustically and plugged in. When we first started playing out, his Elite T was blowing my vintage 1619 Custum Legend out of the water when we were both plugged in; not just in volume but in overall tone. As a matter of fact, his Elite T inspired me to sell off two of my prized vintage Ovations (the afore mentioned CL and a Glen Campbell 12-string) and buy a "Traditional Series" 1779 Custom Legend, with the OP40 preamp. I don't regret the decision at all. All of that to say, I think 6 bills for a brand new Elite T is a heck of a deal... I'd jump on it!

I did it. I made the treck to guitar center for this guitar.

They didnt sell it to me for the original 600.00 stating that was due to an Ovation special from the plant which i felt they really could have honored if they wanted to... but it was only a difference of 30 bucks...so to help from not kicking myself and going back and finding that it had been sold...
I said... "Deal"

an early Christmas to me... :D and a nice addition to my Celeb...Adamas...and my growing Ovation family.

Thanks for all your input...it really helped me to make my mind up on this. Its an outstanding guitar.

Good get, Styll. Your guitars are matching your playing ability. My guitars far surpass my abilities.
