If Al could get those by sleeping with someone, he has a lot more going for him than what shows in his pictures. Maybe I'll use this picture to trick SWMBO into an argument about which looks better, blue or red. The last one of those arguments I lost and had to get a red Porsche. |

As soon as the house project is buttoned up the car gets redone. I have neglected it for too long. I really need someone to send it in to overhaulin for me.
the tires are rare aluminum 8 lug rims that pointiac used from 59 to 68 or 9 raised white lettered tires are the only way to go!!!! |

I have had # 3 for some time...I have to tell you that this is one of the few or ONLY chance in a lifetime to get one. Al probably has the only ones that haven't been pre-purchased. It is not a time to wait.
True or false...I do not believe that someone will be able to special order this guitar at a later date. Nor do I have any faith in the factory producing an a/e model of the original slot-head. |

"Although it's been said many times many ways ..."
THIS IS THE DAMN BEST SOUNDING OVATION/ADAMAS GUITAR I HAVE EVER HEARD. AND NOT BY A SMALL MARGIN. BUY ONE NOW. PERIOD.
It almost doesn't matter where you buy it or what you pay for it. It's THAT good. Just be careful if you're dealing with Bro.Bobby that he doesn't screw you out of the good case.
I'll let a small cat out of the bag... Not only do I own a 47RI, but I've got a second one on order. WHY? Well, other than being totally stupid I just don't ever want to take chances that something could happen to one of them. I NEVER want to be without one. The damn guitar is just THAT good.
I normally only beg for sex, but I can't say strongly enough that anyone sitting on the fence should hurry up and get their hands on one of these guitars before it's too late. Sure there might be other models in the future, maybe you could order something, blah blah blah. But it WON'T be a 47RI, it won't be a copy of Charlie's guitar, it won't be serialized, etc. Some are turned off by the 47RI being acoustic only. That's BS. Get an under saddle pickup put in it just like tons of people do who buy wooden box guitars. Templeman did it to his and I'm sure others have or will do the same. You've been warned. I can see the sob stories posted here already when it's too late ...

I got my W597CB brand new from Brother Bobby. Paid $1550.00 with Ovation case including shipping to Hawaii. Was that a fair price? |

Location: Phoenix AZ | The issue with Rabbi Robert is that he often advertises the guitar on ebay with nice photos of the stock case. I think the case model number is 9158 or something like that. But he ships you the guitar in a cheaper 8000 series case and then sells the good one seperately to make a few extra bucks. It doesn't always happen, but I know if at least THREE documented cases where people got ripped off like this. His prices can be very tempting, but most times you get what you pay for. I doubt buyers of high end guitars like the 47RI worry too much about saving a few hundred bucks. Once you're over the card max, does it really matter by how much?

(I'm obviously ignoring the topic so that I quit thinking about buying a 47RI.) unfortunately the motor is not original. it did have the HO motor but the guy I bought it from replaced it with a 425. it came with a 2 barrel but I replaced it with a 4. rebuilt it when I did it damn almost 20 years ago now so I guess if I have to pay someone to do it right this time it is not a big deal. I put electronic ignition on it and some chrome stuff. most of which has gone to hell by now. when I feel depressed I go on e bay and buy parts and stick them in the trunk. it somehow makes me feel better.
the 8 lug wheels are killer. only the true pontiac fans know about them. |

I've known them to go for less, but the way the market is you never can tell, and including shipping that's a great price. I know of several guys who've bought stuff from Oklahoma Vintage, and have been very happy.
