I know it is my tradition to have a shot in my hand at Midnight to bring in the New Year.
A Lobster & Steak dinner are in order and it is normally a quiet evening with the wife.
What about you ???
Do you do anything special that night or is it just another night???

We do have a fireworks display about 5 minutes away from the house but I do not like being on the road that night.
Anyway I hope all of you have a
SAFE,HEALTHY,HAPPY,& PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR
GWB.

Call me an old fuddy-duddy. I'll be in bed by 10:30. I Tivo'd a bunch of footbal bowl games today and I'll watch those new years eve and eat junk food for as long as I can, but it won't be late. New Years Day is more the celebration in my house. We're doing BBQ'd Lobster Tails and Ribs plus plenty of other fixings. Weather forecast is good. Fiesta Bowl and Rose Bowl will be the highlights of the day. Dave

There will be a few parties on the Island we'll stop by and then by O'Kanes pub and see Davis and Pam Turner play, maybe do Kal David's version of JohnnyBgood with him if asked.
There are a ton of people down here, not sure why. Even more than Georgia/Florida weekend.

Any good, fairly clean celebrations in the Puget area? We never plan New Year's very well.

I need to get social life...

Going to the MPC Bowl, but should be home before 10. Then probably a quiet rest of the evening at home. Texas beat Iowa today, Dave, 26 to 24, so you don't have to watch it. My schools haven't done well yet, but Fiesta Bowl--Go, Broncos.

I gave up the New Year Eve partying about 25 years ago and have never looked back. Too many crazies out and about and I can booze it up and have fun with my better half without going out......besides, it is cold here at midnight....even in the spring/autumn months!

Prime rib here also Brad. Couldn't spring for crab legs though. Playing some euchre tomorrow night are ya?

I'm hoping the Denver Broncos pull one out tomorrow. If not, I won't let it ruin my evening with my wife. We'll put the boys to bed around 8:00 P.M. and have the rest of the evening to ourselves. Probably try to catch some of Dick Clark starting around 11:00. That's been a tradition with me for as long as I can remember.

A safe and Happy New Year to all!!

Todd

Hey, it's Vegas, Baby! I will be on the strip New Years' Eve with a couple hundred thousand lunatics watching a 5 minute show of half a million dollars worth of fireworks go up choreographed to a medley of James Bond tunes. Oh, I'll have a beer, too and maybe even the annual Macanudo.

Watching the Ball over Times Square kinda looses it's magic out here. By the time we see it, everyone who was there has caught the D train back to Brooklyn.

When we celebrate the New Year downunder, it'll only be 9:00am in NY and 6:00am in LA.

So most of you WILL be awake at midnight tonight - somewhere in the OFC world it will be midnight.

Hope you all have a good 'un.

I'll be performing for a New Year's party at the Fairmont Orchid Resort in Kona. Then it's a two hour trip back home over the roller coaster Saddle Road between the two volcanoes, Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea. Nothin' but lava rock for miles and miles.
Warmest New Year Wishes to each of you!

Just spend the night at home with the wife and boy. Maybe open that bottle of champaign thats been in the fridge for 6 months now, and cook some king crab legs on the grill with maybe a steak. Stay up till the ball drops and hit the sack at about 12:01.

Our church always has a party. The guys play 42, a domino game, the women play games they like. Usually the diehards who stay until... all join together and play one of the trivial pursuit type games or timed response games, I can't remember the names. Lots of laughter and food.
I usually stay until 1:00 or later, although at my age it is getting harder and if I don't want to stay it does not bother me to get up and go home.

The New Year is only 35 minutes away for me.

I'm gonna take the rubbish out and in 35 minutes, I'll be snoring.

When ya got little kids, ya gotta get the zzzzz whenever ya can.

Happy new year gang.

Stay a home. Cook a couple of streaks on the grill, snacks later. Fuss trying to get the cork out of the wine bottle BEFORE MIDNIGHT. Have a toast to the new year with my wife and by 12:30 hit the hay. Tomorrow a big breakfast, bowl games, Go VOLS, and enjoy the New Year.

I hope every member has a safe, healthy and prosperous New Year.

If I had sprung for the expensive cable TV, I could watch the ball drop a 9pm, then go to bed!
