Location: Michigan | I know it is my tradition to have a shot in my hand at Midnight to bring in the New Year.
A Lobster & Steak dinner are in order and it is normally a quiet evening with the wife.
What about you ???
Do you do anything special that night or is it just another night???
We do have a fireworks display about 5 minutes away from the house but I do not like being on the road that night.
Anyway I hope all of you have a
SAFE,HEALTHY,HAPPY,& PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR
GWB. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Call me an old fuddy-duddy. I'll be in bed by 10:30. I Tivo'd a bunch of footbal bowl games today and I'll watch those new years eve and eat junk food for as long as I can, but it won't be late. New Years Day is more the celebration in my house. We're doing BBQ'd Lobster Tails and Ribs plus plenty of other fixings. Weather forecast is good. Fiesta Bowl and Rose Bowl will be the highlights of the day. Dave |

There are a ton of people down here, not sure why. Even more than Georgia/Florida weekend. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Going to the MPC Bowl, but should be home before 10. Then probably a quiet rest of the evening at home. Texas beat Iowa today, Dave, 26 to 24, so you don't have to watch it. My schools haven't done well yet, but Fiesta Bowl--Go, Broncos. |

Too many crazies out and about and I can booze it up and have fun with my better half without going out......besides, it is cold here at midnight....even in the spring/autumn months! |

I'm hoping the Denver Broncos pull one out tomorrow. If not, I won't let it ruin my evening with my wife. We'll put the boys to bed around 8:00 P.M. and have the rest of the evening to ourselves. Probably try to catch some of Dick Clark starting around 11:00. That's been a tradition with me for as long as I can remember.
A safe and Happy New Year to all!!

I will be on the strip New Years' Eve with a couple hundred thousand lunatics watching a 5 minute show of half a million dollars worth of fireworks go up choreographed to a medley of James Bond tunes. Oh, I'll have a beer, too and maybe even the annual Macanudo. |

So most of you WILL be awake at midnight tonight - somewhere in the OFC world it will be midnight.
Hope you all have a good 'un. |

Location: Waurika OK | Our church always has a party. The guys play 42, a domino game, the women play games they like. Usually the diehards who stay until... all join together and play one of the trivial pursuit type games or timed response games, I can't remember the names. Lots of laughter and food.
I usually stay until 1:00 or later, although at my age it is getting harder and if I don't want to stay it does not bother me to get up and go home. |
