Ovation case repairs

Paul Templeman Posted 2002-03-17 6:56 PM (#223812) Subject: Ovation case repairs Joined: February 2002 Posts: 5750 Location: Scotland The last Deacon I bought came in an original case that has seen better days, the hinges, latches & handle are fine but the outer shell is split or missing in patches & the foam inside has started to perish. Has anyone attempted to restore one of these or can anyone suggest any strategies. It's a type of polyetheylene (I think) and is strong but doesn't glue well. That small State out East I'm in the market for a "new" case and came across a scratch and dent section at Musician.com they had a "delux" 8210 molded case for $69.00 Come to think of it... You still might need the duct tape depending on how big the scratch... Woz
