I have a 1974 Magnum 1 Stereo that is in Mint condition. I would like to find out what the street value is and if there is a market for this bass. I can provide a serial # if need be. I also have the origal case and all the paper work when it was bought. I bought it in 1975 from B & J Music company in San Antonio, Texas.

Any Info would Help.....Thanks :D

"Street Value" is always fun to guess. I suggest checking "completed" items on eBay and also check the gBase.com listings. Just for the halibut I just searched on Magnum in both places and they range from the one sold on eBay for $450 to ones priced on gBase from 500-700. I have several different model Magnums and I don't think I paid more than about $450 for any of them. I hope that helps.

My Magnum 2 cost $300Canadian, when it was around 3$ to the £. It cost me more to ship it to the UK than it did to buy. If you can find one they go for around £500 over here but I've seen them advertised at £950, largely because of the Jah Wobble connection. A friend of mine has a Magnum 1 for sale in great shape with OHSC for £400.

I've sold a couple recently and they are in that range. Not a really large demand for them, the buyer needs to be wanting that instrument.
