Could anyone please tell me a little about my Balladeer?
The model number is 1111-4. Can anyone tell me what the 4 stands for?
It wants to slip down my leg while playing. The previous owner told me that there was once a rubber pad on the bottom edge to keep it from slipping. Anyone know where to get one?
The upper button for the neck strap is below the neck when held right handed. Is this as it should be, or has it been converted from left hand?

About the slipping -- I've been having similar problems and got lots of good advice here. Take a look at the "Help! I need advice on playing" topic. I had some additional issues, but the non-slip pad is covered there. I've been using the nonslip netting/matting mentioned, and it helps a lot. I bought a roll of it at WalMart in the housewares section, near the "Contact" and shelf paper.

The 4 stands for a natural finish on the face of the guitar. As to the strap button, for years Ovation put them on the bottom side of the neck because the volume control went on the top side. So even a straight acoustic had the strap button down there.
As to the non slip pad, call Ovation. They might still have some.
