I agree Paul, if Ovations continue to go unnoticed by the 'collector' set, so much better for the relatively few that do appreciate them.
I have (and still do a bit) dabbled in collecting vintage Fender stuff and for the price of one beat up '63 Strat I've been able to gather up a nice armload of the coolest (IMHO), rarest (for sure) Ovations there are.

That is a pretty Viper, but I am curious about when it was made. The ad sais 70's but the serial number is pretty high and it has the new bridge, so I'm thinking early 80's... but that's close enough. My real question is when did they start using the new style (all chrome) bridges. I have it narrowed down to the early 80's someplace.
