Elite 1537 (Wood Top Adamas)

Morse Posted 2002-06-13 2:19 PM (#221159) Subject: Elite 1537 (Wood Top Adamas) Joined: April 2002 Posts: 51 Location: Hot Springs, Arkansas Hey, Guys, I was lucky enough to come into a 1983 Elite. It has a beautiful golden honey aged spruce top and the frets and neck are in perfect shape. And, it sounds like heaven to boot. One a couple of problems. One is that there are a couple of place on the lower bout by the binding where the finished has been chipped off. There are two little fingernail size chips that are the only imperfections on the otherwise perfect top. The second is that the action is a tad high and I'd like to lower it a shade or two. First, can the finish chips be blended, recovered, or what? Or, am I just stuck with them as "character marks"? Second, can the neck be adjusted easily and with what tool? Any thoughts would be appreciated!!
