I recently bought a Kaman Corp. 1972 Academy guitar (MODEL # KA17 SERIAL # 017057) and I'm looking for info about it.

Great Guitar!!

I'd forgotten about these. They had a foam neck and a smc top(with molded bracesas part of it) and bowl, moulded separately and glued together. Adjustable saddle if I remember correctly (by screws at the treble and bass ends of the saddle). Solid color neck, reddish? and a beige top. There were about 200 or so made.
It was supposed to be for students (academy, get it?)

In some other post someone said that the CC11 was the bottom of the food chain and I had said that the applesause was. That's not right, this was.

They did have an interesting sound, pretty good for an all moulded guitar, MUCH better than those shamesmogs, and cheaper too! I think this listed around $150 at the time. It wasn't till 78 or 80 though.
