Tried several pick-ups for my Legend. Found the cheapest one actually sounded the best. a simple Lawrence 145 (made a deal for $30.00), sounded better than the entire Markley line. The Markley's didn't pick up the bass tones worth a hoot. The Lawrence is perhaps slightly noisier than the humbucker style Markley Pro Mag Gold, but brighter, richer, and quieter than the ProMag Plus. The Fishman Rare Earth didn't seem that much better for the money as well. I'm glad I actually played them in MY guitar, as opposed to trying them out in a music store instrument. I never planned on even trying the Lawrence pick-ups.
For a guy who plays 90% unplugged, it has a good sound,inexpensive, easy to pop in when needed, and will probably spend the majority of it's lifetime in the storage compartment of my hardshell.
