And it is real funny to listen to Steve Klein go on and on that his is an original design, that he did NOT copy the Deacwiener. OK, sure Steve...

I don't think a re-issue would work, but I see these folks re-inventing the Breadwinner in other forms with modern tech... I think if Ovation made a "new" Breadwinner it would indeed sell. Foam body, custom electronics, bridge (acoustic sound) pickup, lighweight, ergonomic.. etc etc.. I think it would sell. The Vintage prices are too low to make a "re-issue" affordable.

I agree w/Miles.

If they issued a "re-worked" Deac/Winner (ala Parker with cool electronics and a high-tech finish - not "bowl paint") that'd be "sweet"!

...and marketing it side-by-side with a picture of the "original" guitars, it would clarify WHOSE original design it was.

I think they should make an acoustic copy of a Klein and then deny it.
