Help guys, my really really nice Elite Ltd Russian has a neck prob, action between 13th and 1st fret is sweet and just right, but from 14th and 22nd fret the neck is seriously convex! From a side view, neck looks like a SNAKE!
so much so, i get fret buzz from 9th fret upwards, i got Adamas 1818 strings on, is this a factory fix scenario?

Gary, have it checked by a pro. Where are you in the UK? I may be able to recommended someone. Do I recall correctly that you bought this from the US? If so I don't think the UK distributor will offer any assistance.

Aargghh, its worse than i thought, the soundboard looked distorted around the sound holes area, closer inspection showed braces have come away from sound board, dont know if the last few frets of fingerboard have depressed the top and broke the bracing away, or bracing breaking away has caused the neck to bend?
Paul, im only a days TNT insured delivery, away from any part of the country!
But surely factory would cover this repair on a brand new instrument regardless of what country it was bought from?

Gary, official distributors tend to frown upon what used to be referred to as "Grey Imports" & may refuse assistance, they certainly wouldn't honour a UK warranty if it didn't come via their channels. JHS might be the best bet to do any repairs though, so maybe you should say it was bought used in the UK & hope they don't read this board. Failing that I know several world-class luthiers around the country who may be able to do the job, depending on their current work-load.
