With a minimum budget, how practical is it to use a stereo amp and a set of decent speakers to plug in my Balladeer? The amp is goo for 100 watts stereo. Is there an easy way to plug the guitar into the amp? Thanks.

The best way to do it would be to buy a small stereo mixer, such as the Behringer 602A, or a Samson Mixpad or similar & go into the aux input on you stereo amp. Small notepad-type mixers crop up on ebay fairly often, though the Behringers are ridiculously cheap new.

I saw the above question and response concerning using an Ovation A/E through a small mixer and a stereo amp. It seemed like a clever idea so I purchased a Behringer MX602A as suggested by Paul. It works great. I've never used an audio mixer before but the unit and instructions are simple and straightforward. This unit has a great 3 band equalizer which is great for my non equalizer Custom Balladeer. Paid $67.00 total from American Musical Supply(Mail order). Thanks for the recommendation.

Now you need to look for a used Alesis Nanoverb digital reverb or similar on Ebay, maybe around $60. Just a hint of reverb will really bring your plugged-in sound to life.
