If any of you are looking for a brand new Custom Legend 12 string, this one
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=906578735
has been on ebay before with a starting price of over $1400 and a reserve of over $1500.
Now they started the bidding at a dollar with no reserve. If I didn't already have Big Blue (my Adamas 12), I'd be in the bidding on this guitar.

Someone mentioned in another post that Ovation has the prettiest guitars and this one proves it. Unfortunately all my rich aunts died years ago so that one is out of reach, but I can look.

Yes--the Custom Legend is definately the most beautiful guitar I've ever seen.
This june, I'm planning on ordering my 6759 12 string.

Custom Legend 6759 12 string, natural finish.
I'm going to see if I can custom order it with a deep bowl though (and possibly with no electronics).

If you want a no elec, non cutaway, I'm pretty sure you'd have to go with an old one.
I dont think Ovation currently makes any non-cutaways.
You could probably custom order one with a deep bowl, no elec, but the cutaway thing probably wont happen.
I'll let someone more knolegeable step in.
I wish they did make non-cutaways though. And more deep bowls. And no elecs. Oh well! :)

The Ovation website shows Legend model 1777 as a non-cutaway, but it's a mid-depth bowl. However as it's ages since the site's been updated this information could well be wrong by now. Used non-cutaway, non-electro, deep-bowl models are pretty common, and pretty cheap.

I've often wondered what they'd charge to custom make a guitar without electronics.
Would it be less cause it has no wiring/pramp/pickup, or would it be more cause they have to have the outside bowl contractor make one without the holes for all the electronics...

I already threw my two cents in about having Ovation make a custom guitar up (Custom Legend 12-string super-shallow cut-a-way). I love mine and it's worth every penny I spent to have something out of the ordinary and just like I wanted.
For the guys who are wanting to see if they'll make one without electronics, just write em' and see, what can it hurt? At least you'll know one way or the other. Worst case scenario, they say no.
