Location: South of most, North of few | Well, I've just listed the reso, so I'm not completely cured. But,...I am VERY happy with the Ovations (and Martins) I have left.
Disclaimer: the Anniversary is promised to Keith, to be delivered at the Jam. |

Wait till you get the 1537 and the Adamas back.
You'll be back in business. |

Location: SoCal | I've got Noah's 30th and it very definitely is one of the absolute best wood topped Ovations I've ever played. He loaned it to me knowing that I'd have to set it up correctly for him. Sneaky devil. Good luck getting it back.
Interesting comparing it to my 87C. They are both definitely Ovations in their sound. But they have different sounds. The 87C seems to be more mellow (like the 1537). The 30th seems to ring out more. I love them both. As I said, good luck to Noah getting his guitar back......

Location: Boise, Idaho | What he said. I think the 87 is a little more crisp than the 1537, but significantly different from the 30th. You know it's an Ovation when you play it and it projects as well as any of them across the full spectrum. |

Location: SoCal | IMHO, always a subtle difference between the Elite style and center hole...as well as longer time for the top on the 87C to "open up".
The 2004 30th Anniv CL is a wonderful example of the great Custom Legends, a nice blend of old and new. |
