"Cost of manufacture: $50,000. Original flight case included."

Uh... yeah... sure... maybe the flight case cost that much... I could be way off, but I find it hard to believe ANY guitar costs that much to manufacture...

thanks for the link tomcatt. that's a very different jimi than the full blown electric jimi. i've always liked that tune too.

miles, maybe the flight case is a cesna. could be worse. look at that hendrix 12 string. 300-400k estimate and it is kindling with strings attached. and some of those fender squires signed by some distortion heroes with estimates of 5 large--------phew!!! the only time my autograph is worth anything is if it is below the pay to the order of line. oh well, when i paint my masterpiece................

If you add up all the overhead time it took to make that thing it's probably more than that!

Thanks for the tip on the National Russ but I don't do Elvis, He's dead and let's let the poor SOB rest in peace. (Yeah, I know, he wasn't that poor and he was seen entering the building or riding in a CDV downtown)

We made a bunch of double necks for Ritchie and others at the time. I came across one somewhere for $5000. It was costing us at least double that at the time to make them so I bought it and it got recyled into the endorsee pool. Don't know who wound up with it.

I have an early one off engraved tricone that's going for only 30K. Maybe I should go find him and get an autograph?..........
