Just a reminder to those on the east coast that Sunday October 27 is the South Jersey gutiar show. It is held at the SJ expo center in Pennsaukenn NJ at RT 73 and 130. hours 10-3
This year we will be giving away an Ovation guitar as a door prize. Admission is $5 and there is always plenty of cool stuff to check out and take home
If you wish to be a vendor contact me there are still some spaces available. If you need more information you can e mail me or check my website.
Just a note, we have been doing this show for 10 years and I just got word that the Expo center has been sold. I am not sure if there is another suitible site locally for the show. As a result, this show will mark the end of an era. I cannot say that I will no longer do a guitar show but the overall prospects are not great at this moment. But as Ozzy says the last tour goes on "forever"
Hope to see some of you there. If there is a particular item you want to check out let me know and I will bring it to the show for you.
thanks

Just bumping this up to the top. I got a confirmation from Kim Keller today that he will be there and I neglected to mention that Miles will be there too. Last year Cliff brought his slot head Adamas through the door and wow that was a very cool treat. Hope to see some of you there if you can make it.

Actually I was avoiding saying I'd be there as I didn't want to scare anyone away :)

For those that want to see some classic and rather rare Ovation solid bodies, I will be bringing as many as I can fit on my bike :) All kidding aside, I have about 10 picked out, including a custom factory painted UK-II, Ultra GP, PF-22, a custom painted PF-22 Bass and the final Breadwinner Prototype of which all others that followed were designed. I will also have a few guitars for sale if I can fit them in.

So.....how'd the show go?

Sorry I couldn't make it, but Sunday was my girlfriend's first day back from a week-long business trip and to ask her to spend a really nice Sunday driving for two and a half hours listening to me snore in her passenger seat while I sleep off the previous night's gig at a go-go bar on the way to yet another guitar show would have about as much of a chance of happening as Jenna Bush getting a drink at a Democratic fundraiser!

Hope you had a good turnout.

the show went well.
around 500 people came through the door and we had a respectible showing of vendors.

Miles brought some Killer solidbodies that he displayed that were unbelieveable. A legend with old style electronics and shallow bowl with a crack from the center of the bridge to the endpin could have been had with a hardshell case for 200 bucks. I passed I have too many projects. Lots of other cool stuff and we gave away an ovation. Miles took a pic of the winner who already had 2 other ovations and he was a very happy camper.
all in all a good time had by all

Miles post that pic.

I know you guys're busy, but any chance of getting those show pix posted?

Speaking of which....

I had seen on another message board where members photos we shown in their "profiles".

Miles, is this something that might be possible here (or would it take up too much memory)?

I just thought it might be cool to be able to put a "face to the name" of these people who've now become (like it or not) parts of our daily lives.

Just a thought.

Well, Al;

As a "Moderator" you DO have the Executive Priviledge to "purge" anything that may "nauseate" you.
