I have a white Fiberglass hard bodied electric Ovation. It is shaped like a "broad axe". I saw Roy Clark playing a red one on stage in a concert from Russia. It has a serial #E 5011 on a silver plate on the body right below the neck. It has internal active circuits (takes 2 9V batteries) which control a tone switch and potentiometer. Does anyone have any information on this guitar?

Oh yeah, I bought this guitar in 1982 from a buddy in the Air Force. I don't know when it was made, but it was "very new" looking when I got it. It is still in excellent shape, and I love this guitar. It has the greatest sound when I try to play songs like "Temples of Syrinx" by Rush on it.

If I'm correct, it is probably an Ovation Breadwinner/Deacon. Made these throughout the 70s into the early 80s. Great tone and sustain from my experience. You can find more information at http://www.doremi.co.uk/breadwinner/.
Fine playing guitar and if you're interested in selling it, I'd love to buy it!

The guitar is made out of wood, not fiberglass.
