Location: Canada | Anyone out there know enough about the GS model numbers to tell me about my GS??? When I got my GS (2nd hand), I noticed that it had a pretty crummy paint job. However, recently I noticed that underneath the logo on the headstock underneath the poor paint job was the outline of another logo! I guess someone must have repainted the neck and headstock but I don't know how they managed to get another logo printed on top (I'm wondering since I want to repaint the entire guitar). Anyhow, if anyone has information on what the original colour of model 1413-Z should be, and also any help on the logo issue, it would be great! Thanks! |

Location: 6 String Ranch | The dash Z meant all black. Finish, fingerboard, hardware, the works. It's a bit of an inside joke what the Z came from but there you have it.
What's the other logo? Could be Samick repainted a hondo or Kramer. |

Location: Canada | Ok thanks, but as for the Logo it's definately another Ovation Ultra GS logo underneath I guess they took a non painted neck with the logo before they sprayed it black. Make sense? |

Location: Canada | Well I can't seem to get a good look, looks like plywood to me, it's probably an overstatement but stacked cheapo wood which chips pretty easily. |
