Location: Marlton, NJ | I had grandiose plans for my 2000th... I was going to take every guitar in the house (and parts if needed) and line them up outside into a big MM (2000 in roman numerals). I just couldn't get it all together - too many things kept getting in the way. My last post was about a week ago now... I've been holding back. I'll make this a multipurpose post and answer a couple of other threads here.
The first 2000 have just been grand (two grand actually ... ba dum dum). I've met great people, been to some great gatherings and have been exposed to some great guitars. Isn't that what it's all about?? Thanks again Miles and Al for getting this thing (and now the other thing!) going.
In response to my grandest moment quote: When Nicky got up in front of the first southern jam and played Don't Fear the Reaper. As those of you who have met me know, I'm kind of on the quiet (shy?) side. My heart literally jumped out of my chest when he did that... he didn't break a sweat. I love that he's part of this with me for many reasons.
In response to the short list thread - I'm DONE thanks to MusicMike. I am acquiring the UKII that he recently got from WarEagle. That was the last item on my short list. I will be taking possession at the SSJ III.
In response to the SSJ III thread - I can't wait! My wife and daughter are joining me for the first time at one of these escapades. She has NO idea what she's in for! Hopefully, I'll finally get to meet Bill - I'm O for 2 so far (just missed each other at the Gatorbowl, and then Amelia).
Again - thanks for the laughs, the tears, the therapy, the political and religious discourse (KIDDING AL!) and most of all - the music and the friendship. |

UKII at the jam? That's great. I've never seen one in person. |
