I've got a 1778T (love it) w/the OP-30 preamp. Whenever I press the Tuner On/Cal button I get stuck in muted tuning until the tuning time expires.
The manual says something like "press the tuner button again to return to unmuted mode", but mine stays muted.
Anyone had this happen on theirs? Maybe I'm doing it wrong. Seems like an odd thing not to work.
Also, anyone know how long the calibration mode sticks or stays on? I'm concerned that I might knock the tuner out of whack while trying to get out of unmuted mode.
I think I need a book like "The OP-30 for Dummies"
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

According to my copy of the OP30/40/50 Owners Guide, the tuning function stays active for 1 min. (60 sec.). If a string is vibrating while in the tuning active mode, it switches to the calibrate mode (which is still muted) which uses the frequency of that string to calibrate further strings. In order to have the second press of the button turn off the active tuning function, ALL STRINGS MUST BE SILENT.
