An aquaintance was pretty excited about his new Taylor. Although admittingly it was a lower end Taylor (he only paid about 500.00 for it), he was beeming with pride. I told him congrats, and that I love my Ovations. He replied he didn't like Ovations, they're just to tinny sounding. I handed him my Legend and said have at it. 10 minutes later, he wasn't beeming quite as brightly. After playing his Taylor, I'm still smiling!

Boy Norsey:
For a teacher who sings in church, you were awfully hard on that guy. But maybe he had it coming. I never insult another man's guitar. Something like this can happen.

If he was playing a Big Baby, than he has a lot to be proud of. That is a fine guitar, especially for the money. I sold mine to buy my Elite T. But it is a great little guitar. They are both fine for what they are. I personally don't enjoy "brand warfare". It compares to BMW owners telling each other how much Mercedes suck.

Hey I have been playing in church for 20 years, but I still am more than willing to compare my Adamas to other gutars. If fact when I got it in 1981 I went to every local music store and showed it off. That guitar has made quite a few Ovation converts. Hey I love letting people play my Adamas. The guitar speaks for itself!....Paul Hebert

Hey ZChord,
I hear ya, I was in no way slamming his Taylor,as a matter of fact, I told him it sounded real nice. I am just saying that I think my friend learned a little appreciation for Ovations. I have yet to play a guitar that acoustically compares to my Legend. I only hope when the day comes when I play the poor thing to death, I can afford another!

I don't know if it was a Big Baby (not real familiar with Taylors). I know it looked like a traveling size guitar, and had two large screwheads showing through the face of the fretboard where the neck meets the body (for breaking down?). It sounded nice.
