Hello everyone. I have heard a few people talk about their bridges raising up on their Ovation guitars. How common is this? Is it something I should look for on my older Ovations? Does anyone know what type of glue the factory uses to mount bridges? I guess years of string stress takes a toll and pulls the bridge up. Please let me know what yall know about this. I just don't want to worry about it on my older Ovations...Paul Hebert

the glue used to be Epon 820 which is a serious epoxy.
It will not fail like Martins and those that use wood glue. Not that the wood glue is bad because you can take off a Martin bridge or neck with steam and the right tools. You'll only take off an Ovation bridge with a grinder or a chisel. Now if the finish under it fails or there wasn't enough glue applied then the edges can lift.
