Location: Waterloo, IL | I have seen several web sites that talk and show protective cases that go over your guitar case to protect it while on the road. However, I have never seen such a protective case for sale anywhere. Being stationed onboard a ship on deployment, a protective case for my Ovation case would be nice to have to keep me from beating up the Ovation case whie carrying my Balladeer from one part of the ship to another to find a quiet place to practice. The ones I have seen pictured were padded cloth of some type with a zipper around them to open up to the guitar case. Where can I get such a case, and how much do they cost?

Location: Scotland | There was a company displaying cases for cases at NAMM, could be what you're looking for, cost about $160 on line. The ones at the show looked very tough & were quite lightweight.

Location: Waterloo, IL | That is a nice case for shipping a guitar, but this is more what I am looking for:
http://www.frets.com/FRETSPages/Musician/GenMaint/Packing/packing2....
Near the bottom of the page they show a purple case that zips up around your guitar case to protect it better from the bumps and hits while carrying your guitar.
Here is another example:

Has anyone seen anything like this used before? If so, where can I get one?
Thanks.

Location: Scotland | Chuck, Ovation used to make a case cover. I've seen maybe half a dozen on ebay in the last year or so, they usually go pretty cheap. There's also a company called Small Dog who specialise in case covers.
