Location: Lafayette, Louisiana | Hello everyone. Awhile back, Kaki Kings father sent me a copy of her "everybody loves you" CD. Well to make a long story short, my brother had my copy of the CD without me knowing it. So I didn't get to hear it till today. I love it! Her approch to the guitar is very fresh, and I really enjoy her technique. I have a couple of questions for Kaki if she reads this. What guitar did you use for the recordings. The tone is beautiful and so even. Very nice! Second what tunnings do you use? Thanks, I was jammin to ya this afternoon!...Paul Hebert

Location: atlanta | Paul, Kaki is traveling from NY to SF to start her tour, so I'll try to respond.
Almost all was on her "vintage" Adamas II 1581-7--the one that got stolen. In the members' photo gallery, you can see her with it in various venues.
Cut #10, "Fortuna", was with her Taylor 710, and #11 was with a Les Paul. All else--Adamas.
The tunings are all over the place--I know #1 was in DADGAD, #2 in EBDGbBD, and #5 was CGDGAD.
I hope to have some photos of her "new" 1581-7 uploaded to the gallery next week.
Paul, there is a recent interview that Kaki just gave Jambase.com about her playing style. Take a look at:

Location: Lafayette, Louisiana | Thank Dave, sorry I didn't get back with you sooner, but my brother had my CD. I really like how even her guitar recorded. I have an Adamas, and just love that classic Ovation tone. Please tell her how much I enjoy the CD. Thanks....Paul Hebert
