Location: NJ | I'm booked to do a solo acoustic gig at a local restaurant for the Valentine's Day dinner crowd.
I have pretty extensive repetoire, but am always open to suggestion and thought I'd throw it out here.
Any favorites? |

"And I need you more than want you, and I want you for all time"
And made famous by an Ovation endorsee. |

Location: Tennessee | Reminds me that we had, among others, "when I'm sixty four" at our wedding. Even has a Valentine's reference in it. Fun to sing/play and the crowd always has fun with it too. |

I'll just slow 'em down a little and finger pick 'em.
These poor people don't know what they're in for. |

| lol. Bob Dylan has a great tune that if slowed down and strummed lightly sounds great. If not it sounds like Bob Dylan on coke. The name of the song is "nobody 'cept you" |

Our band does Wonderful Tonight
These that we do might work, too:
Bob Marley's Waiting In Vain
Bob Dylan's Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You
Bonnie Raitt's I Can't Make You Love Me
And on a different love song or two:
The Band's Up On Cripple Creek
Mickey Newberry's Tell Me Baby Why You Been Gone So Long?
Which has the lovely lyrics:
Nothin' else I want to do
I guess I could get stoned
And let the past play pictures in my head
Kill a fifth of Thuderbird and try to write a sad, sad song
Tell me baby why you been gone so long... |

Location: ma. | bradley you are correct. i saw an episode of Unsolved Mysteries about the bass player for Iron Butterfly. his father was a noted scientist. both were brilliant. after the band, he followed in his father's footsteps. he was on the verge of making a huge discovery in the field of communication.something that would have turned the industry on it's head. he turned up missing one day (found his car at an airport),and has never been heard from again. some speculate he was kidnapped by foreign spies who knew the importance of his work. FREAKY MAN... |
