I own a rare 1997 5778 elite w/ Englemann Spruce and Ebony appointments. Ovation told me that there were only about 50 made and that these and 50 balladeer types (5777) were built for the German market but were never shipped because of the German economy.

Can someone give me an idea what this guitar is worth? I have not found much info on it.

Thank You

I remember seeing some of these in Guitar Centers in SoCal a few years back. Beautiful guitars. It seems to me that they were selling for about $1100 then. I would guess that on the open market, they are probably worth about $6-750.

Thanks, I bought mine new from Elderly in 1999 and I think It's the best sounding ovation I've ever had except the Adamas II.
