Location: CA | This eBayer claims shallow bowl for this old Legend, but it looks middy to me. Per usual, it is not listed on archives of ovationguitars.com. So I bow to the wisdom of yon sages (that would be you guys). |

I thought a 1667 was a Balladeer, and that's no Balladeer. |

And actually, I think he may have the right number after all. |

Location: CA | Thanks verily unto yon sages. Now that I look at the photos again, it does look like a deep bowl.
It's currently at $.99 with no bids and 6+ days to go. Includes a nice brown/brown HSC.
Sorry for not including the eBay # in my original post. The auction is 170271358319. Gonna keep my eye on this one. |

Location: CA | I queried the seller and received answer just now: "The label inside the bowl does say model 1667."
So is that still a deep-bowl Legend? If so, why would it not be listed on OV website archive? |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I think it's a shallow bowl legend, but since that model was made in the early 80s and the super shallow bowls came out in the early 80s, it might just be a shallow bowl like the Country Artists. |

Location: Scotland | Dave is correct, the pictures clearly show it as a deepbowl. 1767 was the model number for deepbowl cutway Legends from around 1985. Prior to that the model number was 1667. As this guitar has a waist-mounted stack-knob FET3 it's earlier than the seller states, probably 82/83, they had 3-band Op24's by '85, So 1667 is the correct model number. |

Location: Northeast Ohio | Gallerinski is right about the OV website. I saw on ebay about 2 weeks ago a nice looking deep bowl 12 string and it showed the sticker in the bowl as model # 1155. Never heard of it and it is not listed on the OV website archive. Also after buying Old Man Arthurs 1718 Elite, i see that there are 2 seperate descriptions for it in the archives. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I was going with the spreadsheet that Jerome has posted on the Ovation Tribute site. I thought it was the most accurate, but it has a 1667 listed as a shallow bowl. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | That would make sense, since the price lists show the 1667s were produced from 1982-84 and the supershallow bowl (if I have this right) was introduced on the 83 Collector's.
Dave, why don't you get all the smart guys together in all your spare time and correct all the mistakes? |

HERE is the original thread.
THIS will link you to the original excel spreadsheet version in case anyone wants to play with it. You can email me whatever errors or changes you find.

Dave Duuh! I've been trying to point out that it has a 1667 listed as a shallow bowl. Am I that subtle? Obtuse? Incoherent? Incomprehensible? Irrelevant is probably the appropriate word. |
