Location: texas | hey all,i was hoping for some help with a guitar i just bought. it is the first acoustic/elec i have had. i got it used in excellent shape and i love it. i just dont know how the electronics work. i didnt get any manual with it and the one i downloaded from ovation is for the new ones. this one has two input jacks and has several settings that i dont know what they do. any info would be greatly appreceated. thanks. |

Location: Scotland | If you want to use the stereo option you need to use both outputs into either 2 amps or 2 channels of a stereo sound system with the channels panned hard left & right. You then have a number of options as to how the strings are assigned to each channel including: strings 6 4 & 2 to channel one 5, 3 & 1 to channel two. Or 6 5 & 4 to channel 1, 3 2 & 1 to channel two. The's also an auto-pan function which is like a chorus effect and a couple of other options which I don't remember. It's an interesting idea (for about 5 minutes) but probably more hassle than it's worth, and for the listener to truly appreciate it they need to be standing in exactly the right place (which has always been stereo's shortcoming) |
