What's Matt talking about when he says to put a jack into the hi input when using the lo?

Also, what's the scoop on stereo preamps?

to use the low impedance jack you need to put a Dummy plug in the 1/4 hole. So you need something plugged in there to make the battery work. or you can call service and buy on of their specially wired cables

thats bizarre, I was at rehearsal a week ago and used the XLR out and it worked fine...

I would appear that the Optima doesn't need a dummy plug or special cable, mine certainly doesn't, the Op50 seems to.
