I have a brand new Elite 1868 with a really weird problem. I get a rattle (sounds like it's coming from the nut) when I hold it horizontal (to play). If I hold it vertically upright, it goes away!

I've taken the back off and checked all the wires - can't find anything loose.

Any clues?

Thanks!

Does the truss rod have a washer next to the truss rod nut?

No - I don't see a washer - just the truss rod nut and a bolt above for the neck.

Any ideas?

Are the nuts on the tuners tight? I've had a few with loose ones.

Yes - as far as I can tell, all hardware on the tuners is tight.

It turned out to be the tuners! All is well - no rattle!

Thanks for the suggestion.
