I've had my I on this guitar on EBAY:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2385&item=2535070292

Best price I can find anywhere on a W597 is $1593 so it is an actractive price. But exactly what does "Ovation FRG Guitar" imply?

I also mentions a "special" 5 year warranty. I thought it was a lifetime warranty. Has any one else had experience with FRG?

Thanks

I suspect it’s a factory recondition guitar or export model. What I can say for sure is the guitar in the photograph is not the guitar in the description. A 2003 guitar would not have the old Optima preamp. The pictures are of a 2000 or early 2001 Adamas CTV. The giveaway is that Ovation quietly made a running production change in late 2001 and did away with all the Adamas I ‘angle wing’ epaulets. By 2002 all Ovation guitars with the multi sound hole design were shipped with the standard Elite epaulets. The only exception to this is the Viper.

factory reconditioned means that it has some flaw and it was fixed.
the warranty is wrong though it is not 5 years but 2 years from what I understand.
