ok-----since i couldn't get an opinion by slipping this question into another thread here goes again.

does anyone have an opinion about the elite std 6768? i just bought one made in 93. (this series in the pricelist was made 93-95) deep with cutout. looks nice and the price was right. i needed a replacement for a balladeer (DEEP no cutout). i intend to gig with it.

It's a good guitar. Less fancy than a regular elite. But a good guitar. You'll like it. When you come to town I'll show you the info in the catalogs on it.

i was wondering why no one had bid on it on e bay. the photos were awful and the ad said it was flawless except for a tiny piece of a leaf missing hardly noticable. i bought it out of auction. i'll look forward to seeing more about it in the catalog, and you will see it a few days after i pick it up at my cousin's house. what kind of preamp was in those days.

I believe it was the FET 3 preamp, with a volume knob and 3 band equalization.
