I bought a used Ovation from a reputable dealer.
It has a 6 digit ser# and was sold as a Celebrity cco57. Probably made in Korea because the ser# dates it 1979. However this git does not have a scatch, none! Can't believe it would be 24 years old.
It has an op24+ pre-amp. Does anyone know when these pre-amps were first put into production? Or any other thoughts on this beautiful guitar?
Thanks

Hey Al,
I know we've been over this before but, IS there a database for the Korean made guitars? We seem to get a lot of questions from Celebrity owners about their numbers/dates and it seems that Ovation/Pacific might be able to help us with some figures. Any ideas?

To my knowledge there is not database available for the Korean guitars.
There seems to be no real sequence for them. sorry but like many other companies and thier imports there is not a way to track them.
