Location: Waterloo, IL | I managed to escape from my wife yesterday while I had a day off from the ship. I used the time wisely. I went to the local GC and three other local guitar stores, a few pawn shops, and one or two other non-music related places, in search of the elusive 12 string that would be perfect for me. I tried out flaylors, flenders, seegulls, yamehahas, plus some other brands I had never heard of before. While I was in GC, I picked up a Legend 12 string, S/S bowl. Nothing else compared with it throughout the day. It was enough to make me give up the search for an electric, and make me just want a 12 string. I went in search again today on ebay, plus MF and a few other web sites, hoping to find my goal. I wasn't able to find a Celebrity 12 string to try, so I can't compare it to the Legend. After all the talk of supporting Ovation by buying new, what is the best price I can get on a new U.S. made Ovation 12 string? I prefer deep bowl, non-cutaway, electronics are not required but nice to have if they are there.

There have been some great 12 strings in the last few days of posting, if you can't swing one of those, give the old underworld figure, Al, a chance, and maybe he can find you a deal fitting your service to our country. (I say that as a warning to the mafiosa that we love our returning warriors, and will extract vengeance for any exploitation).
