I'm having a problem that maybe you can help me with! It seems that whenever I click on the items on the left of my screen such as Bulletin Board, Sell/Trade, Member Access, I'm able to read the posts, view the pics, look at what's for sale, but when I click on the Fun Stuff link and then click on the Factory Tour 2003 - Guest Access logo - Nothing happens!!! I'm unable to view the pics and such.
Is there a problem with my computer???
.............
Any and all help is appreciated!!
.............

He was feeling ill (he be ill'n) for a little while and now has to catch up, but they will be finished soon. I know people have been waiting, and would like to see all the pictures and people and could care less if they had captions and such. Unfortunatly, I don't work that way. They are done right, or not at all. I'm not fuss'n just splain'n. For those that want to see the stuff, and weren't at the tour......youshouldabeenthar!!!! |

In between Cliff's pictures I've been humoring myself by going to the press announcement on the Ovation site and doing my own little Sgt. Pepper's picture legend.
Mike, can you send me the vibrator plug-in? And can you program it to light up when I see an Adamas on eBay? |

Can you forward me the email address of the lovely lady that snapped that pic? I'd like to get a good quality file and map it out with names, etc. |

I would love to but I lost it all in my hard drive crash which now MILES is alledgedly trying to recover so why don't you contact MILES and ask him if my hard drive is recovered and if not to send it to MICHAEL who probably would have had it finished and recovered by now. |

Can we just delete this whole thread? It's kinda pointless to point fingers, and while I too would like to see the pics and stuff from the tour, I know how tough it is to find to to put stuff like that together when the real world keeps knocking at your door.
Can we delete this thread before people get bent out of shape? |

As the recipient of the foder here... I have not been offended yet. I (and Al) do this as a hobby, a fun one. Most of the barbs are in fun, and just letting me know "hey... we wanna see stuff." which is fine. Those that are taking this more seriously, well I really don't have an answer for you.
Al and I are working on it at this time, we have about half the pictures captioned in less than two days, so if this keeps up, we should be done by the end of the week.
If there is a graphics person in the house, I need a few buttons that will work on a black background. They are: Arrival, Ovation, Hamer, Presentations, Jam Session, Video, and Misc. Also needed are two smaller buttons for "Previous" and "Next".
The buttons should be small using a 9pt-ish (maybe 10, there is plenty of room) font. Just make the navigation ones smaller than the rest and email them to me. Whoever wants to do this, it would save me a lot of time. If you want to give them rollover states, that's fine too.
Thanks
Miles |

Can anyone who owns an Ovation ever say, "it's only a hobby" with a straight face? I sent over a hundred photos and some video myself, so I know this has been no small task for them. |

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | Just an update. We're almost there. The no-rain days have distracted us with some other tasks that needed to get done, so early next week is most reasonable. The offer for those buttons I need is still open as that will be the last task I finish before it's done, but I have a few other things in the mean time. I know buttons are not a "big deal" but I'm not a graphics person, and I'm also partially colorblind, so it's not as easy for me as it is for most folks. |

I AM a "graphics person", but I don't do much along the lines of webpage design/architecture.
However, I DO know of a place:
www.flashbuttons.com
where you get/create FREE web buttons/toolbars that actually look pretty neat.
The only stipulation (that I've seen) is that their url shows up (discreetly) at the bottom of the toolbar.
Hope it helps. |

It's not so much that I can't do it, I was just hoping someone would whip something up so I didn't have too. The "OFC 2003 Tour" section will be ready to go next week, so if someone doesn't send me something by monday or tuesday, I'll just whip something up. |

We know you're doing your best, and we will wait until whatever it is is done. Have fun, live life, consort with your family, travel if you can, this board is only a hobby and you don't have to sacrifice anything important to mollify this bunch. We all get older and wiser no matter what you do, and our visit here is a gift that can be taken away at any time.

The "wiser" happens when you realize that no bastard in the world can change the way you live if you don't let them. You don't owe anybody a god damn thing, and when you are giving people something that is good and pleasant, and they don't appreciate it, tough shit, kiss my ass, and let the sonofabitches provide something better if they are so god damned smart. Sorry that I am so wishy-washy. |

But it beats the hell out of the alternative! |

Middle age may be tough but show me a teeny board that packs the wisdom and info that this "middle aged" production does. Not flashy, but the top of the world in content, that's why we are here and not fawning over some idiotic teen age imitation of a topless dancer as if that was the ultimate in entertainment. Does the Mickey Mouse club grown up have any societal meaning. What if Brittany's sexual parts are suddenly seen, will that change pop music? |

You know, if I could be a younger age (as I approach 50), I'd only go back about 10 years. I wouldn't be a kid again. But in my late 30's, my body hadn't started protesting, women from 25 to 55 were interesting in me (and I was just starting to realize that women 25 were boring compared to 40-55), and I had all the energy in the world.
Now I've slowed down half a step, but all things considered, I count myself lucky. I don't think I'm gonna complain about the big 50 coming up. After all, I'm only a third of the way thru my life. Got a long way to go still.
And lots of Ovations to still play and own. And my wife said that I can get a Folklore Deluxe after the new carpet for the house. Life is very very good. |

50 is nothing, you haven't even reached the speed limit 55, I just saw an adult Katheryn Hepburn win another Oscar at a much older place in life. 50 is the only time in life where you know what you're doing and you still can. I was still being pursued by groupies at 50 and had to quit music to save my marriage (these weren't virgin groupies).
