I spent about an hour playing around with a Pinnacle CU 147 at the music store the other day and I must say I was quite impressed. I must admit to being somewhat of a snob in that I only own and play "American" Ovations but this little Korean model is very playable. Seems to have a solid top. Does anybody know anything more about them? (i.e. is it a solid top? What kind of wood?, reliable? etc.) Also, it was "on sale" for $475.00. Is that a good deal or not? I was thinking that it would make a good travel guitar for me.

Hi Dan,

The Pinnacle has a solid AA spruce top with rosewood fingerboard and 2 -piece mahogany neck. MF has it listed for $499 ($599 for deluxe). Hope this helps.
