I thought these guitars had Cedar tops as standard. Also, I can't see the neck being Cedar. Cedar is softwood and isn't suitable for necks. It'll be mahogany like the any other Ovation neck. Still a very tasty guitar though, I'm tempted.

Pardon my ignorance, but isn't cedar commonly used for classical necks? Or is Honduran cedar and Spanish cedar different from just plain ole cedar? I realize that I'm not adding much to this thread, but I am easily confused :o

You're right, some species of Cedar is used for classical & flamenco guitar necks, though Mahogany is generally considered stronger & superior by many classical guitar luthiers.
