It occurred to me that since my 12 string played more comfortably tuned a half nore low, & considering that 95% of the time I play alone anyway, it would make sense to tune it a half note low & just crank it up a fret when I occasionally play with someone else. Duh. I'm going to try this a while before I try 10's. With the lower tuning & the truss rod tightened up more than before the playability is really excellent at this point. I love this thing....
Anyway, I see how the OP40 resets itself when you push the tuner button a second time while playing a note. The little green light blinks & you're good to go for the rest of the strings. Very handy! But, is there a way to make it stay on at the new setting for longer than 60 seconds? I can't quite re tune all 12 that fast. Tonight I had to turn it back on & then re-set to the lower tuning three times before I got them all in tune. Is there an easier way?

tia,

Tune it a whole note low, and you don't have to adjust your tuner. and that, IMHO is better on a 12 string anyway. Slap on a kapo if friends come around and enloy that deep bass the rest of the time.

It's a fully chromatic tuner which shows half-steps, there's no need to recalibrate.

Now why didn't I think of that? It was showing D# on the tuner when I was tuning the E string.
Duh.
