3/21/53.
I can remember my dad singing that song to my sister and me as little kids, so I already have fond memories related to it. He also used to sing "Stardust," "The Rubber Tree Plant," "Swing on a Star" and lots of other old ones to us.
Mom said the first song I ever sang was the original "Mickey Mouse Club Song." (Hey, now that would make a good topic.....)

June 2, 1960 - Cathy's Clown
It's kind of funny - my brother sometimes calls me that, since the wife's name is Cathy. |

Mine is Elvis.
Hers is the Beatles. |

Sugar Shack by Jimmy Gilmer and the Fireballs. Can't say I've heard it. I've got a copy of the song from the Napster days. If you want I'll burn you a copy and send it to you. You can play it on your birthday every year as a reminder of what your parents were up to nine months earlier. Let me know. |
