Location: NW of Philadelphia | I had a 12-string Hyostar many years ago. I gave it to my brother-in-law when his wife killed his acoustic 6-string while moving (snapped in two at the neck/body).
I just picked up a 12-string Balladeer (circa 1995) off the 'Bay. Hopefully it wasn't someone from here I outbid. It looks a little dusty, has a small ding on the lower front (no big deal to me). Otherwise, looks great. I can't wait to get it home and have it setup properly.
Since my return to playing and having my CC257 setup, I play it more than any of my electrics. My wife is very surprised at this. |

I'll add it to my list once she is home same and properly inspected. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | List prices are not really relevant to current values. I think you got a steal, however. I thought I got a great deal on my Balladeer 12, and paid quite a bit more than that. |

Location: NW of Philadelphia | My wife's sister did the damage. She moved the guitar and leaned up against the wall (another reason to keep your guitars in a case). While packing other things, she tripped and fell back into it... <>. I felt really bad for him.
My wife knows better than to touch my guitars without me present. |

We can't even get Chinese knock-offs for that price!!
Honestly, I enjoy reading about some of the great buys you are able to snap up. |

Yes... Thats $163.00 - FREE SHIPPING!
If it ships today, it will arrive in Friday and I'll be cleaning her up this weekend. Hmmm... I wonder how much a new OP-24C costs? :D
Sadly, my wife has declared "No more guitars are to be purchased for a while." |

Doesn't that have the OP24+? That's a great preamp. Leave it alone and just by a $14 Korg tuner. It will work better than the OP24C anyway. |

Your best bet - attend an OFC gathering with spouse in tow, and she'll realize she's not alone and that your O'bsession is perfectly normal. I didn't even have to negotiate a quid pro quo for the 1687-30th I just bought :D |

An OP-24+ like my Celeb. would suffice. I could skip the tuner. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I tried Serge's method and it didn't work. SWMBO wouldn't even go into Dave's house. Maybe she just had a feeling about Dave. She's not impressed that others are more sick than I am. It doesn't make me any less sick. You could do a search for "justifications" in the vault and try some of those, but the best method is just tenacity. Eventually, she'll just figure out that this is just a phase you're going through and will wait it out. Maybe she'll even get into it.
Having a 30th wedding anniversary helps. I sneaked in the Ute, the 30thCL and the OFC that year. She got so tired of my "justifications" by then, she didn't realize I had already used that one.
The OP24 is still a good preamp. I wouldn't change it. |

My wife said the same thing about Porsches and guitars are way cheaper than those. Watch out for the paybacks, though. We've spent a bunch on redecorating the house when it was "her turn." |
