My Adamas W597-CB is in the UPS truck on the way to my house! I'm skating out of work until it gets here! I can't wait. This is the nicest guitar I have ever owned and am drooling in anticipation of playing it!

Okay, wow! This guitar is AWESOME. The sound (unplugged and plugged into my crappy amp) and playability are both exquisite. That neck is beautiful! WOWZIE!

Glad to see someone else is aware that wowiezowie (and derrivations thereof) are actual words! It seems that Ovation Guitars are consistantly the cause of such outbursts!

Congratulations! Pics?

Wowiezowie has already been listed in Websters Dictionary! It's got a Picture of Ovation Guitars right beside it. :D
Congrats on the new arrival Enjoy it!

I just sat and played it for about an hour and now all of the visual "wowiezowie" was combined with the auditory "wowiezowie"! Man, I heard harmonics and tones out of that thing I have never heard out of any other guitar. I played one of my favorite tunes "He" by Jars of Clay on it and it sounded fabulous. This song is in EABEBE and capoed to the third fret. Very drone like sound and the bass felt do nice! Having the tuner meant the capoed intonation could be perfect! What an awesome guitar. Now I just have to figure out what guitar I am going to get to compliment it.

"Wowiezowie" \interj\ used to express extreme wonder, joy and amazement i.e. Ovation Guitars.

Wowie Zowie Lyrics

Artist(Band):Frank Zappa
(Print the Lyrics)

Ray Collins (lead vocals, harmonica, tambourine, finger cymbals, bobby pin, tweezers)
Jimmy Carl Black (drums)
Roy Estrada (bass, guitarron, boy soprano)
Elliot Ingber (lead guitar, rhythm guitar)

Wowie Zowie
Your love's a treat
Wowie Zowie
You can't be beat
Wowie Zowie, baby
You're so neat
I don't even care
If you shave your legs
Wowie Zowie, baby
You're so fine
Wowie Zowie, baby
Please be mine
Wowie Zowie
Up and down my spine
I don't even care
If you brush your teeth

I dream of you each mornin'
I dream of you each night
Just the other day I got so shook up
I dreamed of you in the afternoon

Baum didi, baum didi, baum didi,
Baum didi, baum didi, baum didi

I dream of you each mornin'
I dream of you each night
Just the other day I got so shook up
I had a flash in the afternoon

Wowie Zowie, baby
Love me do
Wowie Zowie
And I'll love you too
Wowie Zowie, baby
I'll be true
I don't even care
If your dad's the heat

Wowie Zowie
Wowie
Wowie Zowie
Wowie
Wowie Zowie
Wowie
Wowie Zowie
(etc.)

Okay, I've been dinking around on it a little bit. I have a ? about the XLR out. I have a standard XLR to XLR mic cord. I plugged it into the mic channel of my amp and got nothing. Only when I plugged the 1/4in guitar cord into the guitar (not plugged into the amp) did the preamp power up and I got sound. The 1/4 to 1/4 works fine. What's up?

Never mind. I read the owner's manual (duh). Have to have phantom power? What does a "ground to shell" connection look like?

If you are reasonably handy with a soldering iron, you can add a jumper to your XLR cable. I forget where I saw the pinout but I know it's here somewhere... Or you could always buy another cable.

Zchord, search on Ground-to-Shell XLR. There is a nice description with the pinouts.

If I read correctly, you should be able to make your XLR connection work with a standard cable as long as a 1/4" cable is plugged in.

Glad to see the new baby arrived!

I'll post pics soon, I have to borrow a dig. camera (I would hate to take money out of the GAS pot to buy one!) I don't think I can post them in the picture gallery. I use hotmail and can't send attachment that big. Any hints?

Hey ZCHORD,

Just pick up one of those diaposable 35mm cameras and heve them put the pic on a Kodak CD... then post away! Lots cheaper than a digital camera! They even develop to CD at the 1-Hr Photo places...

Your e-mail provider doesn't really enter into it, so you're not even sending an attachment.
You'd need to have the file somewhere on your computer (either hard drive, CD, etc.), following the Gallery instructions, you'd would upload the file(s) from your computer onto the OFC server.
No e-mail. No attachments.
