This is off-topic, but somebody here might have an answer:

Which P-90 should I buy to install in my tele in the neck position, the dogear or the soapbar?

Martin

For UK readers: I mean my Telecaster, not my TV-set. :)

Either will work but the Soapbar P90 rather than the dog-ear will look better if you are using the existing pickguard. Also I'd agree with Al about string clearance, the dog-ear version has limited hieght adjustment (overall pickup height, not the pole-pieces)

Have you thought about using a P94? It's a P90 in a regular humbucker cofiguration.

he phatcat used by Hamer is a much better sounding p 90 style pickup in a traditional HB format.

BruDev,

Replacing a singlecoil with a humbucker would mean more routing than replacing it with a p90. Besides, I don't like the look of fenders with humbucking pups, but that's just a matter of taste.

If you want Humfuckers, buy a Gypsum, otherwise play single coils like the Viper.
