Is there a way to repair a warped top on an Ovation, besides replacing it. I have two guitars, an Aniversary and a Custom Legend. Both tops are warped.

Hi Bradley,

I checked back on another topic and we had mentioned the JLD Bridge doctor. Paul T said he was not sure if it would work on O's or not. You also mentioned some experience with the same, but were unsure if it would work.

At some point after that, I called the "bridge doctor" and asked him about installing the device on Ovations. He said he had put it on quite a few, but it was more difficult. As you and Paul stated, a small block of wood must be placed at the end of the bowl and some of the bracing pattens on Ovations make it more difficult.

Of course I may be barking up the wrong tree, because I don't know what kind of warping problem you have.

It would only take a few minutes of your time to call and talk to him. (I was going to post the phone number, but could not get on his website just now)
