Nylon or steel string? The 1624 says nylon, the bridge says steel.

Apparently this guitar has had nylon strings on it for the past 11 years at least.
That explains the top, which is badly cracked. She says she had it back to Ovation about five years ago for a new bridge. It seems odd that Ovation didn't mention that it would never stand up as a steel string instrument.
Beautiful guitar, what a shame.
